Why are estimates so hard to compare?
Many companies build differently, offer different levels of customer service and products. The saying is true; you get what you pay for. You can’t buy a luxury car for a basic car price. The same holds true for an Outdoor Kitchen. A handy man will not give you the Quality and service that a licensed and insured professional with experience in outdoor kitchens will. It is hard to get a handy man out to repair a problem after the fact or fix your grill because it was not installed properly. Many outdoor kitchen retailers are not builders or designers.

Can I run the grill on nature gas and propane?
The grills come in either Natural gas or propane jetted. If at a later date you want to change the fuel source you can, just purchase the different orifices and change it out.

Why should I clean my grill regularly?
- The better you clean it, the longer it will last
- The burners burn more efficiently.
- The food cooks more evenly.
- The food tastes more like food and less like carbon.
- Keeps your grill in top-working condition.

What kind of budget do I need?
Be realistic about your budget… The size, finish materials and equipment can be adjusted to fit your budget and it is important to have an idea of what you wish to spend. The typical Custom Outdoor Kitchen in Florida ranges from $5,000 to $30,000. This all depends on what equipment, products, materials, finishes and utilities your project will require. When your design professional asks you about your budget, they are trying to meet your needs by staying within your financial planning guidelines. There is always a product for everyone’s budget. It is always better to do a smaller high quality project at your budget rather than a dream project where you have cut corners and sacrifice part of the dream.

Do I need a Building permit for an Outdoor Kitchen or fireplace?
No. These units are considered portable and just sit in place. You will not need a permit for the unit itself, but natural gas, plumbing and electrical run for the unit may or may not require one. Your design specialist will advise you.

What questions should I ask a company before giving them your job?
- Do you have a “before and after” picture portfolio? Most companies should have pictures of past work.
- Can I have three references? Use references to check the company customer service and quality of work current and past.
- What insurance coverage do you have? At a minimum, contractors should have, general liability (including property and personal liability), and automobile insurance. These policies help protect you and your property from potential legal problems should an accident occur.
- How long have you been in business? A company with at least five years’ experience usually is stable and reliable. Bad business ethics do not last long in Miami!

Can you match the color on my house?
Most likely we can as we Sherman Williams paint and color matching technology along with many natural stones and brick for a different elegant look.

Why do the burners on my grill deteriorate?
The burners we use are made out of stainless steel or cast iron. Over time, inferior metals used on cheaper burners cannot stand up to the moisture and sulfur released by the propane or natural gas of the grill.

What are the options in countertop material?
Tile, Granite and natural stones

Does granite stain?
For the most part, granite does not stain. While natural stone is a porous material, of all the stones, Granite is the least porous. We apply an impregnating sealer to the stone when it is installed to further protect it from this possibility.

How heat-resistant is granite?
Unlike synthetic solid surface counter tops, granite can withstand a dish hot from the oven or stove right onto its surface.

Will my granite counter top chip or crack?
Most flaws in stone are detected before fabrication of the slab. If it can withstand the fabrication process, it will never break under normal kitchen conditions. You would have to damage it with something like a hammer and even then, you'd have to work at it.

How do I keep my stainless steel products looking new?
First and foremost, you must always clean your stainless steel in the direction of the grain. If you look closely at the stainless steel finish, you will see the direction - normally from left to right. There are several products that will do the job just fine and can be found at your local retailer. Use one of these to clean your appliance about once a month. Remember to keep pool chemicals and other harsh products away from your stainless steel products.

Is it okay to use wood framing?
No. Wood Framing is a big mistake and could be the costliest. Regardless if wood framing is "Treated" it is still COMBUSTABLE. Regardless if you use Fire Retardant Products to cover the wood it can still catch fire. Some many contractors and DIY's get confused about the framing. The Grill Does not shoot flames out into the cabinet but it does send radiant heat. Enough radiant heat will cause charring and that can lead to a fire and the framing will not last in our south Florida weather. Our Frames are made with the highest quality galvanized steel and will last you a lifetime.

What is a BTU rating?
A British Thermal Unit - or BTU - is a flow measurement of gas showing the amount of heat energy needed to raise the temperature of one pound of water by one degree F. For example if you see a grill marked 35,000 BTU, this means that grill puts out 35,000 BTUs from all its main burners combined in one hour, or uses a little more than 2 pounds of propane an hour.
The BTU rating on a gas grill doesn't necessarily tell you how much heat it will produce, it does give you an idea how much fuel you'll be burning.
